CheckMate creates a relationship reading from the birth details you enter. We store what you provide so we can build your reading, let you return to it, and improve the service over time. We never sell your data. To write your reading, your birth details are sent to our AI provider to generate the interpretation. You can ask us to delete your information any time at support@checkmate.love.

You give us: the names, dates of birth, and optionally birth times and places of the two people in a reading; gender where provided; your relationship status (dating, married, navigating difficulties); your email if you share it; and any feedback you send.
We collect automatically: device type and general usage (which sections you open, how you move through a reading), an anonymous session identifier, and a referral source if you arrived through one. No third-party ad trackers.
We never sell your personal information. To write your reading, the birth details you enter are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic. We use trusted providers to run CheckMate — including a payment processor (Stripe) for purchases, and providers for database, hosting, email delivery, and support — each only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information if required by law.
We keep what you provide for as long as we operate CheckMate, so you can return to your reading and we can improve over time. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will unless we're required to keep it.
Your information sits in access-controlled systems, and we limit who can see it to what's needed to run CheckMate. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Access, correct, or delete your information any time at support@checkmate.love. Depending on where you live — the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CPRA — you may have additional rights, and we honor them. You won't be treated differently for exercising them.
A few small cookies make CheckMate work — remembering you've already entered the site or your email so you aren't asked twice, and holding the anonymous session id used for usage analytics. None are for third-party advertising.
CheckMate is for adults and isn't directed to anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
CheckMate and its providers operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there.
